Trash Dumping Regulations

A $1.00 TICKET IS REQUIRED FOR EACH BAG/BOX OR ITEM
TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M.

1. ALL TRASH MUST BE IN BAGS OR BOXES. CARPET MUST BE ROLLED AND TIED SECURELY. NO LOOSE TRASH.

2. NO CONCRETE, RAILROAD TIES, BRICKS, TIRES, USED OIL, PAINT, GASOLINE, PETROLEUM PRODUCTS OR HAZARDOUS WASTES.

3. NO SHINGLES, DRY WALL, PALETTES, LUMBER OR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS ALLOWED.

4. NO CONTRACTORS OR BUSINESSES ALLOWED.

5. OLD FURNITURE, MATTRESSES, AND MICROWAVES ACCEPTED.

6. ATTENDANT MUST ASK FOR PROOF OF RESIDENCY OF THE TAYLORVILLE CITY LIMITS.

7. YARD WASTE AND SCRAP METAL MAY ALSO BE DISPOSED OF FREE OF CHARGE. APPLIANCES CONTAINING OR HAVING CONTAINED FREON WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

HOURS FOR THE HOUSEHOLD WASTE DUMPSTER ARE:
MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAY
7:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M.

HOURS FOR THE YARD WASTE AND SCRAP METAL BINS:
MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
7:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M.
