ALERT FOR TAYLORVILLE WATER CUSTOMERS
NOTICE OF ADJUSTMENT TO WATER RATES AND FEES
Please be advised that the City Council has approved an adjustment to the water service rates/fees for customers effective January 1, 2026. This decision was made following a comprehensive rate study with infrastructure needs and State mandates in mind.
- Reconnect fees were increased to $50.00 inside city limits and $85 outside city limits. The fee will be added to unpaid accounts at 8:00 am on the 29th of each month or the first business day after. The fee will be added to all accounts even if service has not been disconnected by Water Department personnel.
- The minimum bill increases to $20.00 inside city limits and $40.00 outside city limits for the first 1500 gallons of water. Any use over 1500 gallons will be billed at a cost of $0.009 per gallon inside city limits and $0.018 per gallon outside city limits
Additionally, in a cost saving measure, the City will no longer deliver Disconnection Notices on the 22nd of each month.
