PRESS RELEASE FROM JOLYNNE RICHARDSON – CITY CLERK
City Clerk Jolynne Richardson announced that July 28, 2026 is the first day a candidate may begin circulating petitions for elected office for the City of Taylorville. The Consolidated Election will be held on April 6, 2027.
Citizens of Taylorville will be voting for one Alderman from each of the four Wards. The Alderman positions are all four-year terms.
Expiring terms in 2027 are as follows: Alderman Jim Olive, Ward 1; Alderman Amy Hagen, Ward II; Alderman Megan Bryant, Ward III; and Alderman Kathy Driskell, Ward IV.
Petition packets may be picked up in the City Clerk’s Office beginning July 28, 2026 from 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Petitions are to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk from October 19, 2026 beginning at 8:00 A.M. through October 26, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
